Step 1. Thought Process

What interests you? What areas would you like to work on? You can list as many as you like? Which attract you most?
Something I'd like to do is something physically demanding so I can push myself, animals, or exploring of some sort.

How would you like to invest your time and energy in a way you will find fulfilling?
Personally I was wanting to do something with maybe the SPCA to help volunteer at the animal shelter walking dogs, playing with hamsters, cats, dogs, or any other animals they house in their facility.

How do you like working? alone? with a partner ? a small group? What kind of people do you work best with? Why?
It really depends on the type of project I'm doing if I want to work alone or not. When it comes to big tasks with 10 minutes or more of presentation I'd rather do on my own, only because I feel I'm strong at presentations and I don't want someone to drag me down who may not be as equally strong as myself. If I were to work in groups I'd like to be partnered with someone who is as much as a hard worker as I can be when I work on something as serious as this. I don't want to be partners with someone who is going to go out the night before we have something dealing with our project to do.

Who would you like to work with if you had a chance? Why?
Carolyn Kim, and Janine Ng only because I know they are both hard workers, and they are the two most helpful I met here at the school that has helped me with everything along the way.

What kind of support will you need? Who do you think you would like to have as a mentor? what kind of person?
Well our project is going to be hiking various trails in Hong Kong to discover Hong Kong that we've never seen, be demanded physically and mentally, and maybe also discover cultural parts of Hong Kong along the way so our mentor would have to be someone who hikes a lot so he/she can show us beginner trails that have some roughness for us to push ourselves. Also our mentor can teach us first aid care in case an accident happens while we are hiking along the trails.

What do you know about yourself - and your work habits - that will help you complete this project? What will you need to watch out for? What habits/difficulties will you need to overcome?
When it comes to something as serious as thing I tend to work very hard, and don't procrastinate on work like this. I tend to be very picky about what is said, shown, or the overall appearance. I like presenting in front of people, so I do not have a huge problem of that. I think my only fear as of right now that I would have for myself is that when I get nervous I can tend to talk to fast.

What media would you like to work with? Remember this needs to be a multimedia presentation. List the media you plan to use.
We plan to use cameras for video and picture purposes. We are going to be making video diaries of how we accomplished something on the trail, our condition, and the reward at the end of the trails. We also plan to take photos of us hiking, climbing, taking breaks, and the views along the way.

How might you connect what you do with the school wide learning results? See below.
For me it's more of a Self Motivated Learning basis only because when I think of hiking I think of the physical and mental demands. As for my group members they see it more as a Character Development and Chineses culture. I don't see it as a Cahracter Development because the goal for it is "-I will try to do everything to make my classmates appreciative and happy." With us hiking we aren't doing anything to make our classmates happy with what we are doing.
